We are still looking for donations for staff prizes that will be handed out this Thursday. Please feel free to email electronic gift cards directly to lois.ellison@southgate.kyschools.us for convenience or you can drop off prizes (candles, trinkets, flowers, gift baskets, lottery tickets, gift certificates, fun office supplies, etc.) to the front office any time today or tomorrow. The more small gifts for prizes we collect, the better! If anyone owns a cool business or vacation spot, please email me with cool opportunities I could offer the staff as a raffle prize (ex. free 3 night stay; free car wash tickets; free oil change, etc.).

Testing will continue through Friday of this week. Please be sure your 3rd-8th graders are eating well, getting lots of sleep and coming in ready to rock their tests! We are so proud of the hard work of our lions this year!

Next week (May 4-8) is National Teacher Appreciation Week, and our school is celebrating with a fun, fairytale-themed week honoring our teachers and staff. We need your help! Here are two ways we'd love to have you help us celebrate our incredible staff during our Enchanted Staff Appreciation Week:
1) Pixie Prize Pool Raffle - Donations
As part of the celebration, we're hosting lighthearted raffle drawings where staff members can win creative coupons/prizes donated by local businesses and families. We would be honored to include your family and/or business.
The prize can be simple and fun, for example:
- A free appetizer or complimentary dessert
- A free coffee or specialty drink
- A percentage-off coupon
- A small gift card or gift certificate
- Lottery tickets, Movie tickets, Event tickets
- Small gifts of appreciation
- Creative ideas or gifts
2) Thank You Letters
Please use this Well Wish Scrolls link to submit shoutouts and notes of appreciation for our amazing Southgate staff members electronically. Or pick up free printed scrolls at the front office to write on. Feel free to submit as many as you'd like! The more the better! All notes will be printed and delivered to the individuals during appreciation week next week (May 4-8).
