Grades K-8: If you didn't turn in your permission slip this past Friday for the NKU field trip coming up next week, please make sure to return it signed first thing tomorrow morning to your teacher!
A few things to note in preparation for the trip:
1. This trip is completely free! NKU provides us free tickets for the game and our school will cover the cost of the busses.
2. Students will not be permitted to purchase anything from the concession stands or the gift shop while they are there. Please do not send money with them that day.
3. All students will receive a packed, bag lunch to eat during the game since we will be there mid-day.
4. We would love for everyone, staff and students alike, to wear their new Southgate TEAM shirts that day.
Go Norse!

Just a quick reminder that we are super pumped to celebrate with the Southgate community during our Southgate Spooktacular Parade tomorrow (10/31) from 1:15-1:45 PM.
Attached is our travel route. The school will walk together down the inner sidewalks around the designated loop. Stations (community business partners) will be set up along the way to collect candy. Families and other community members are welcome to set up along the viewing routes marked. We just ask that you set up either in grass areas or across the street (outer sidewalks) so that our parade walking path stays open and ready for the kiddos. If you have any questions, please contact the front office or email lois.ellison@southgate.kyschools.us.

🎃 Southgate Public School invites all local businesses, families, and neighbors to help bring the Halloween magic to life during our annual student costume parade! Let’s make this year’s parade a true Southgate Spooktacular on Friday, October 31st at 1:15 PM.
Ways to Participate:
- Host a candy or trinket station along the route (no homemade food)
- Set up bubble machines, smoke/fog machine, or Halloween music
- Decorate your porch or parade viewing area; sit in lawn chairs and wave; help us cheer on our Lions
- Donate treats, decorations, or supplies to support the event
Whether you're a business looking to connect with families or a neighbor who loves the Fall season, we’d love to have you join the fun!
Southgate Business/Community Partners: Sign up here if you want to host a treat station: https://bit.ly/LionsOnParade.
Southgate Families: Come cheer, set up lawn chairs along the sidewalks, pass out treats, play fun music/blow bubbles, take photos, and help us celebrate this beloved tradition with BIG Southgate pride! You can set up anywhere along the designed route:
(William Blatt→Electric→Shaler→Elective→William Blatt).
Students: You are invited to wear costumes to school on Halloween. See our costume guidelines here.
