Mrs. Jodi Luhn

Southgate Public School is proud to announce that Mrs. Jodi Luhn, our third grade teacher, has been selected as the May Staff Member of the Month. We asked Mrs. Luhn to share a little about herself and this is what we found out.

Mrs. Luhn graduated from Olean High School in Olean, New York. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from St. Bonaventure University. Mrs. Luhn received her master’s degree in early literacy from Walden University. Mrs. Luhn began her teaching career at Olean Middle School teaching 6th grade Social Studies and Language Arts for 5 years. From there, she began teaching 6th grade reading at Meadowlane Intermediate in Melbourne, Florida. After staying in Florida for 5 years, Mrs. Luhn's husband went back to coaching college basketball and the family moved to Farmville, Virgina. While in Virginia, Mrs. Luhn taught 5th grade reading at Eureka Elementary. After 5 years in Virginia, Mrs. Luhn and her family moved to Cold Spring, Kentucky. This is her first year at Southgate teaching third grade.  

Mrs. Luhn lives in Cold Spring, Kentucky with her husband Jake, sons JJ and Johnny and daughter Julia. In her free time, she enjoys watching all her husband's and children’s sporting events. She also enjoys traveling with her family. Mrs. Luhn loves the Southgate community, staff and students. She is looking forward to watching her students grow.
